OCG April 1st Banlist Analysis and Expectations

Today,I am going to share my thoughts about the upcoming OCG banlist in april.
For those who don't know what the changes are,here :

Ban:
Ultimate Offering
Wind-Up Hunter

Restricted to 1:
Wind-Up Carrier Zenmaity
Blaster, Dragon Ruler of Inferno
Redox, Dragon Ruler of Boulders
Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms
Tidal, Dragon Ruler of Waterfalls

Restricted to 2:
Sacred Sword of Seven Stars
Dark Armed Dragon

Unrestricted:
Torrential Tribute
Tour Guide from the Underworld
Dark Strike Fighter


Thoughts:

Forbidden:
Wind-up Hunter-This is one of the most infamous card who enabled wind-up hand dscard loop.This is one of the most unfair cards in the history of yugioh where many people just quit the game but now that it is banned and there are newer supports for different decks,I bet those who quit will return(and Vise versa LOL).

Ultimate offering-This card together with gadgets and Madolche is o.p considering it can also be activated on your opponent's battle phase and no restriction. Maybe in the future this will also get a dark strike fighter esque errata and be changed to once per turn .Oh well?!

Limited:
4 Elemental Dragons-Do I need to explain this? with this deck even touched with 2 consecutive banlist and still top 4 formats.This is a hell of a joke not to be touched once again.But with the advent of the new mythic dragons in duelist advent ocg booster pack,I think people will still find a way to utilize these cards and if that happens,I deserve an explanation lol.

Wind Up Carrier Zenmaighty-This card is the heart of Wind-ups.With the return of this card.People who raged quit when wind=ups are raped by the previous banlist will now be back with a vengeance.

Semi-Limited:
Sacred Sword of the Seven Stars-0.o
Dark-Armed Dragon-As usual ,for every banlist that konami makes,there is one or two crazy changes and this one suffice the statement.And as usual,people will start to hype again this card.Tele-dad anyone?

Unlimited:
Tour Guide from the Underworld-To help wind-ups summon their carrier,Leviar for madolche as well as mx saber and the famous rank 3 generic wind up being so famous,i forgot the name lol.Its zenmaines
Torrential Tribute-Seriously? this makes swarm decks think twice in swarming.
Dark Strike Fighter-With the new Errata,this will not be imbal no more but who knows? duelists are like scientists who can always find ways to make new discoveries.hehe

Useful Tips vs. Artifacts this ocg format

Today ,I'm going to list some of the most notable side deck cards you could consider upon the popularity of the recently released Artifacts from Primal Origin.
Without further ado. Let's start!!!

Forbidden Chalice
Quick Play Spell Card
Target 1 face-up monster on the field; until the End Phase, it gains 400 ATK, but its effects are negated.

Here is one of the most underrated cards as of today but for me this one is one of the best side deck to artifacts.First,it is a quick play spell card with alteration in stats meaning you can use it on your turn,In damage step and in opponent's turn.This is good if the opponent summons morraltach via Theosophy of artifacts.This is also good if you are facing annoying cards like Constellar Pleiades,Gorgonic Guardian etc.

Swallow Flip
Counter Trap Card
Negate the activation of an Effect Monster's effect that activates when a monster is Special Summoned (including itself), and destroy it.

One of the most popular side deck card vs. Gladiator beast but now a new spotlight has been opened to this this card.If you take a look at it's effect,it works vs. Artifact cause they gain their effect upon special summoning itself plus it is a counter trap card and it destroys the monster.Definitely worth looking at.

Last but not the least

Barrier Statue of Inferno/Drought/Abyss/stormwinds/torrent
No monsters can be Special Summoned, except for EARTH/FIRE/WATER/WIND/DARK monsters.

Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo
 Neither player can Special Summon monsters. When this card is flipped face-up: Destroy all Special Summoned monsters on the field.


Stops Special Summons.You know what I mean hehe.



Those are the cards that aren't yet popular vs. them but maybe after this blog has been made,maybe they will.I did not include D.D Crow,Ally of justice friends,transmigration prophecy etc. because they only affect graveyard and they are popular.
