Yu-Gi-Oh! and the "Regret Factor"-featuring the latest VJUMP Issues

(ArcKnight) Here in RespectYGO,our main purpose is not solely the news about the latest products and leaks about YGO which other blogs were already doing but also the advocacy of giving the much needed respect to the game we love and the environment of our YGO fans as well.

Today,I will discuss the "Regret Factor" in Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game.Common practice of the players in different communities was selling their old decks and cards to buy or have the more latest or stronger decks in the meta.As the game evolves, new innovations has been made by Konami. The creators made support cards for older archetypes to encourage old and quitting players to play again. For some, this is a good strategy but for those people who sold or traded their cards only to find out that it will have the much needed support cards were disappointed. The tendency, they will have the so called "Regret Factor".
As an example to begin with, cards such as "Vanity's Emptiness" was very underrated and is treated as a mediocre card for many before. And so,people sold/traded them for very cheap prices and sometimes piled it on one of their unused cards. But as I have told you awhile ago,Konami made new innovations to find use for underrated cards before that's why they created a meta full of special summons ranging from the good 'ol "Six Samurai" up to the most over hyped "Necloth".That's why currently, since "Vanity's Emptiness" is a short-printed card and now considered as a staple for many, players were ranting to have their own copies and the so the price of this card was like 10x higher than ever before. But thanks to konami, they will reprint it again on "The rarity Collections" booster pack so hopefully, players can have easier access to these kind of cards.

The latest issue of newer archetypes that has been disregarded is the "Superheavy Samurai". On the latest VJUMP issue,it announces the 4 new "Superheavy Samurai" cards and one of them is a synchro and the 3 others were just too good that can bring this deck to top tables.Incidentally, some players who has the cards that was released during "The Duelist Advent" and "The Next Challengers" has already sold theirs because they find it unplayable. But today is different,I'm pretty sure that these same people will also be the one who will again find their old cards for the sake of the new and so on and so forth.
There are many more archetypes who were treated these way before.Other major examples are "Chronomaly" ,"Heraldics","Gem-Knight","Koa'ki Meiru","Prophecy",and "Dragunity".
Speaking of "Koa'ki Meiru",I had once the "Regret Factor" due to my "Koa'ki Meiru" parts sold just a month before the release of "Diamond Core oif "Koa'ki Meiru" and the new "Koa'ki Meiru Overdose".Still,if I'm going to pick them up again, they would just probably fall flat in the meta considering how fast it is right now.
Super Heavy Samurai Deity Susano-o
Gem Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli

Currently,I have 2 core archetypes and 1 anime archetype deck that I'm taking care of and not gonna sell. These are the "Hermit Youkai","Spirit Beast", and "Melodious".Since Yuzu Hiragi will have a rematch against the Gem-Knight player Masumi who has received another major fusion in the form of "Gem-Knight Lady Lapis Lazuli",I'm pretty much optimistic that my "Melodious" deck which Yuzu is using will receive our much needed boost and I'm really excited and hopeful about it.At some point,I felt like Konami not only wants us to enjoy our new cards but also nteach us an ethical lesson that "we should appreciate every cards that we have just like how we appreciate our friends and family".Who knows,it can be the much needed key for us to achive success!
Let's respect Yu-Gi-Oh!
