" 3 Birds in one CORE! " -featuring "Bird of Paradise Lost"

(ArcKnight) Well, hello guys! I'm back and still kickin' even after the aftermath of the recently announced "April OCG and TCG Forbidden Ban List"!.  The list surely wreck havoc Dragon Rulers to the fullest, but "YGO is like a river,it goes over and over again so we have to move on,adapt, and explore new cards and strategies!"
Garunix,Fenghuang and Bird of Lost Paradise: Any similarities? (Clue: Wings)

Speaking of new cards, looks like "Clash of Rebellion(CORE)" unveiled yet another interesting card that you guys will surely love! And it is no other than "Bird of Paradise Lost"!

Gokurakuchou/”Bird of Paradise Lost”
DARK Wyrm/Tuner/Effect
LV8 2700/1500
(1): This card gains 100 ATK and DEF for each Tuner monster in your Graveyard.
(2): Once per turn: You can send 1 Tuner monster from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 monster the opponent controls; gain control of that monster until the End Phase.

Before someone faints, let's have a quick review about this monstrous card.

1. First,it is a level 8 Tuner. Yes! It's a tuner and it is DARK.
2.It's a wyrm type monster so it will benefit with the likes of "Unmasked Dragon".
3.It can control not just face up monster but any monster as long as it is on your opponents field(Tho,the translations are not yet final I guess so we can skip number 3 just in case.)
4.The ATK points is the same as Garunix.

So a monster that controls a monster is pretty strong.Cards with same like effect are usually banned(Change of Heart,Brain Control etc.) or in the banned list before (No.11 Big Eye) because they made a huge impact changing the tide of the game.

We,duelists, are always fond of making decks centered around our favorite card so now,I will give you quick hints on what possible "Engines" and "Tech" cards you are going to use in maximizing your "Bird of Paradise Lost" deck!

Seat back,Relax and Enjoy the FLAME!!!!

                                                        Useful Cards you can use:

 1. Cheepcheepcheep(You can extend the "Cheep" part as many as you want lol)

-This little chick-ling helps you summon "Level 5 or Higher Tuner monster from your DECK" once it was flipped face up! In other terms, you can search "Bird of Paradise" because it's a level 8 Tuner then you can start controlling your opponent(Literally) until the end turn.(no pun there I swear lol)

2. Unmasked Dragon

-Just in case you don't want to wait for a turn, flipping "CheepCheepCheep" or you want to increase the chances of seeing "Bird of Paradise Lost" as soon as possible, you can always associate this card to search "Bird of  Paradise Lost" right away from your deck. Another tip,you can even clash your unmasked dragon to a monster your opponent controls to summon our almighty bird. Remember,"Bird of Paradise Lost" has exactly 1500 defense so it has met the criteria.

Engines/Tech Cards that you can use:

In every deck that we make,we use different engines to make our deck more consistent. So now,I will give you possible search and draw engine that can be useful not only to search our key cards faster but to help "Bird of Paradise lost" achieve its effect over and over again.

Egg Turbo Engine
1.Egg-Turbo engine

One of the infamous draw and search engine we usually use in decks like "Dragon Rulers","Disaster Dragon" and "Exodia". While this strategy is very useful to get our key cards faster, let me remind you that these monsters( White stone of Legend and Flamvell Guard) are also tuners! That only means we can also utilize them for "Bird of Paradise lost" control power!

In addition, "Bird of Paradise lost" is also a level 8 monster so we can also use it for "Trade-In" so we can dump it and draw. As of now,we do not have easy access to summon this bird from our hand so it's either we call it from our deck or summon it from our precious graveyard.

8+3=11

2. Mecha-Phantom Beast Olion

So what does an aircraft doing in our deck?

Simple,it is a tuner (for Bird's effect) and can also generate tokens!
And did we say it generate Level 3 Tokens? That's absolutely affirmative! 8+3= Star Eater!

Revival of the lost Paradise
3. Call of the Haunted & Oasis of Dragon Souls

What are you going to do with our fallen Bird of Paradise Lost? Revive them!

These two cards can revive your almighty bird to continuously corrupt your opponent monsters.

Last but not the least...

A good Offense is not enough....
4. Yuki Usagi/Emergency Teleport & Effect Veiler

They say," A Strong offense is not enough without a strong Defense". I guess that's right. Effect Veiler & the newest (and expensive) card from CROS "Yuki Usagi" deserve a spot in here considering they are both tuners and the latter is also searchable by "Emergency Teleport". So what is the essence of summoning "Yuki Usagi" from deck or hand to field?

If we look forward, all our corrupted monsters from our opponent goes back to them and if we do not dealt an OTK the turn we used our bird's effect, our opponent can have a huge comeback that can put us to serious disadvantage.

Remember, "Bird of Paradise Lost" 's effect lasts only until the end of the turn so what we can do is to summon a tuner like them to synchro summon some useful synchro monsters to make sure that your opponent's card would never come back at the end of the turn. Sweet!

                                                                       Wrap-up

In this past paced meta composed of banlist changes every 3 months, being creative and innovative is the key if you want to stay in the long run. Maybe owning top tier decks every format ensures you a higher bet for winning but the more you use these decks, the higher the chance of them being hit over and over again.

But as Yu-Gi-Oh! Players who play the game itself,we take risks. No matter how many decks we try or unique decks we play, there is always this one thing that gives us the drive to continue playing, and that is our heart and passion towards the game we love!

This is the end of another interesting and unique article of yours truly. Let's Respect Yu-Gi-Oh!
