Ridin' Solo Like a BOSH

(ArcKnight) Hey Guys! After months of hiatus and soul searching, I'm finally back to share another article about my views and opinions about this new card that caught my attention.( Seriously)

The one I am ranting about is the new BOSH (Breakers of Shadow) card " Solo the Melodious Songstress" . For those who do not know this card so well, let me introduce her to all of you!

source: The Organization
BOSH-JP012 COMMON
Gensou no Utahime Solo / Solo the Melodious Songstress
Level 4 LIGHT Fairy-Type Effect Monster
ATK 1600
DEF 1000
(1) If your opponent controls a monster while you do not, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand).
(2) When this card is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon 1 “Melodious” monster from your Deck, except “Solo the Melodious Songstress”.

Here is the newest member of our choir of melodic singers. To evaluate this lady,I would like to share Some PROS and CONS of this card. Later on, I will tell you why it is really bothering. Well, anyway....here we go!

PROS

  • It summons any "Melodious" monster after being destroyed by battle. Meaning, you can just smash it to your opponent( not literally your opponent but his/her monster card) and bring your Maestras on stage or play defensively and summon an Aria.
  • It promotes quick Xyz with her built in Cyber Dragon Effect.
  • Nice Dress.
  • Somehow it helps in getting Aria when you are just staring at an Elegy but not the other way around.
CONS

  • It contradicts with the Aria lock.
  • It will not activate if it is destroyed by card effects.
  • Slow
  • Contradicts with the Spell card "Solo: First Movement".
Now the thing that bothers me...
seriously, whats that?

"This is the visual representation of Art, what are you thinkin' lol"

Overall, it is a decent card that requires more testing.Probably, after the release of "Breakers of Shadow", someone will break the silence and highlight the usefulness of this card.

What about you? Do you find this card useful in your "Melodious" deck? C'mon, share your thoughts and hit the comment button below!
