Will PH finally have its own ‘Card Con?’ Here’s our answer.

With the advent of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel, it really brought some light in encouraging new and returning players to play the game we love. Ranking tournaments are also becoming more consistent and active as ever.

In fact, last March, the recent YCS Japan 2022 - Yokohama with a total of 3000 participants concluded which showcased a lot of interesting decks. That's huge!

When I saw this huge number of participants, my mind was suddenly filled with awe with the fact that there's really a lot of people whose very passionate to play the game we love. I can imagine how nice it is to meet people whom you have the same passion and interest with in one big event. I'm pretty sure it would be nice if we could also have the same thing in the Philippines right? Is this really possible? 

As they say that where there’s a will, there’s a way. To make this possible, Aqua Card Games will be hosting their very first ‘Aqua Card Game Championship (ACGC) as they celebrate their 2nd anniversary.

This will be their first ever event where different card games such as Yu-Gi-Oh OCG, TCG, Master Duel, Vanguard, and Digimon will have tournaments with bunch of great prizes at stake in one big event. This 2-Day event that will happen on April 30-May 1, 2022 at the Ayala Malls Feliz located in Pasig City, Philippines. The goal is to showcase the best players in this exciting event and it’ll surely be a great avenue for players in all walks of life to play the game they love.

While we are yet to have the full details, we are able to have a sneak peak of some of the most promising events that will happen on the 2-day card convention.
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG will have a 50-man tournament and the Champion of the said event will be entitled to receive an exclusive Trophy, Playmat, and a guaranteed slot to participate in the shop’s exclusive events such as Duelist Cup Qualifier, Battle of Chaos Tournament, and other upcoming ones.
  • Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel will also have a 24-man tournament hosted by Excelsor PH and JUN2X.
  • Other card games such as Vanguard and Digimon will have 24 players each allotted.
