Floowandereeze
We have seen an increased dominance of Floowandereeze with a high win rate across all tournaments held. This list includes the new Simorgh, Bird of Extermination that can act as an extender. Enemy controller is also a great card that can help you dodge targeting effects and can control an opponent monster! On opponent's turn, it can act as a form of disruption and can protect your Barrier Statue of Stormwinds from being destroyed by battle.
With the release of Floowandereeze and the Journey Preparations, Floowandereeze is more consistent than ever. It also helps in making sure you have that extra banished Level 1 Floowandereeze monster to dodge response kind of negation ( ex. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring) for the entire combo. One of the major weakness of Floowandereeze are mass removal and negation so cards like Anti-Spell Fragrance and Solemn Judgement can be sided when going first.
Simorgh, Bird of Extermination
This is the new Simorgh monster released on Battle of Chaos (BACH). While it increased the consistency of its themed deck, it also helps Floowandereeze in many ways. Adding Simorgh Sky Battle in the mix, it can act as a chain blocker in the entire combo.
Here is a sample combo featuring Simorgh, Bird of Extermination.
Overall, control decks are seeing an increase play together with decks that uses the Brave Token and Destiny Hero Engine. Personally, I'm excited to see how Battle of Chaos cards are explored in the meta and like the combo above, surprises in the meta are expected and it's very important that your main deck and side deck can adapt to the unexpected.
Once again, hope you enjoyed this week's tournament metagame report and I'm looking forward to make this blog more active than ever. Thanks again for supporting! For decklists, be sure to check our Facebook page at RespectYGO and subscribe to our Youtube Channel on this link RespectYGO Channel.
